Oils of Ancient Scripture - Part 1

Our journey with Young Living began nearly four years ago.  We were battling some pretty significant health challenges and after chasing after the medical approach for 6 months I went to a class and heard a naturopath share James 5:14 where it says, “Is any sick among you, let him call for the elders of the church; let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord”.  At that time it hit me like a brick.  I had been praying.  I had a desire to follow God completely and for him to heal us.  So why was I putting so much faith in something man made and discounting the power of God’s creation? God is the creator of all, including essential oils. I am very grateful the founder of Young Living, Gary Young, began a search years ago to find, and ultimately grow and deliver to us the very best essential oils so that we today may experience their many benefits as people of ancient times did.

Today many people desire to follow God completely.  They live by high moral standards, adopt modest dress codes, help others sacrificially, BUT, like I used to, when it comes to their wellness, they discount the power of God’s creation.

There are over 600 references to essential oils and/or aromatic plants in the Bible.  Maybe it’s time we take a closer look at scripture and read what God has to say about using these great gifts.

On Day 3 of creation, God established vegetation upon the earth.  From grass to the fruit tree, to the herb, to the vegetables we enjoy.  God then says that man is to have dominion over all the earth. For us to fully accomplish this we must take time to carefully study these plants and their potential for enriching our lives.

Let's take a look at some of the essential oils of Ancient Scripture.

Join us for Part 2 tomorrow as we continue to explore more oils of Ancient Scripture and take dominion.
