Looking in the Mirror

"As water reflects the face, so one's life reflects the heart."
~Proverbs 27:19
What is my life reflecting?
Is it reflecting my sinful nature?  Shelfishness?  Greed?  Envy?  Jealously? (Colossians 3:5-8)
Or am I clothed with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience?  (Colossians 3:12)
Am I loving the world and the cravings of sinful men? (1 John 2:15-16)
Or am I loving God with all my heart and all my soul and all my strength and all my mind? (Mark 12:30)
Am I holding a grudge against my brother or withholding forgiveness from my sister? (1 John 2:3-11)
Or am I loving my neighbors as myself? (Luke 10:27)
Am I quick to get angry with my hubby?  Am I trying to control him?  Am I making decisions for our family that are not mine to make?  Am I bringing him harm with my words or actions?
Or am I submitting to my husband with a gentle and quiet spirit, giving him the respect he deserves? (Ephesians 5:22).  Does my husband have full confidence in me?  Am I bringing him good?  (Proverbs 31:11,12)
Am I embittering our children?  Am I quick to yell at them?  Am I speaking harsh words?
Or am I teaching them love and righteousness, training them in the way they should go?
Is wisdom and faithful instruction on my tongue? (Proverbs 31:26)
Am I eating the bread of idleness? (Proverbs 31:27)
Or am I busy at home, watching over the affairs of the household? (Titus 2:5)
"Let us examine our ways and test them,
and let us return to the Lord."
~Lamentations 3:40
